Welcome to Frontier District
The Mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral decisions throughout their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law. You will find tons of information on this site as we bring it up to speed on current events in the District. The nights are getting shorter which indicates that Winter is almost here. Please provide your units date for use to facilitate an Investment in Character presentation (Blue and Gold/Court of Honor/Highly Attended Family Meetings).
We’ll need 10 minutes at the start of the event. Please fill out the form to reserve your presentation date and presenter.
Register your unit here for an Investment in Character presentation.
Frontier District Klondike 2014
Gear up and register for the Frontier District 2014 Klondike!
The Klondike Winter Games (Derby) is a special event in our district each year. Scout troops will camp out over the weekend, Friday-Sunday, and Webelos will arrive early Saturday morning and spend the day. Troops also have the option of coming just for Saturday if they desire. During the day, Patrols/Dens will participate in events, some old and some new. The events have been designed to test Scouting skills, mentally and physically. All the events will be timed unless otherwise noted. There also will be special hats for the Boy Scout Patrol winning the "King of the Klondike" award. Please note that this packet has been redesigned. General information for all participants is first, followed by Boy Scout specific information and then Webelos.
Pre-registration,$15, is highly recommended as walk-in's will be charged $20 per person regardless of camping or daytime only.
After you register, download the Frontier and Gateway District 2014 Klondike Packet for information, maps, medical forms, parking passes...basically everything you'll need to ensure you have a great time.
Recruitment efforts take place throughout the year. Frontier District Scouting units conduct a coordinated effort to enroll new members to join Scouting in the Spring. The Fall Recruitment effort focuses on recruiting boys that are K through 4th grades, but is not limited to that. The Boy Scouts recruit 5th-11th grade young men and Venturing recruits 8th grade young men and women between ages 13-20.
These recruiting events are put on by Cub Scout Packs, Boy Scout Troops and Venturing Crews throughout the local community. Our main objective is to give multiple joining opportunities to ensure that every youth is invited to join Scouting and to fulfill our promise to new Scouts for a great Scouting program.
