There's still time to sign up for Frontier District's Day Camp to be held on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, July 10, 11 and 12, 2013 at Cook Park, 7200 Cherry Creek S. Drive in Denver. This year's Day Camp is themed Jungle Adventure and it poses to be a wild time!
Cost is $55 per Scout and there is still time to get the Early Bird Discount of $5 if you register on or before June 19, 2013. After June 25, 2013, a late fee will be assessed and Day Camp will cost $65.00 per Scout. For more information, contact Vanessa McDougall at 720.266.2139.
2013 National Jamboree
Want to Go Big! Get Wild! High adventure like you've never seen! Whitewater rafting, skateboarding, BMX, mountain biking, zip lining, rock climbing and rappelling, patch trading, SCUBA, arena shows, Technology Quest, and much, much more. Join the Denver Area Council's Contingent to the 2013 National Jamboree at the new Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia. This is one of the most significant events in a Scout’s career, joining 400 Scouts from Denver and 45,000 Scouts from the USA and around the world.
We will be meeting the 3rd Thursday of each month for April, May, and June. In general, we will plan for a monthly troop meeting or activity. Scouts should plan to wear their class “A” uniforms at these events. Due to Scout camps and other activities, we anticipate there may not be a troop meeting in July. Our next meeting will be Thursday, April 19 at 7pm. The location is Smoky Hill United Methodist Church, 19491 E. Smoky Hill Rd., Centennial, CO 80015.
We have approximately 11-15 spots left in our troop for Scouts. We encourage you to invite your Scouting friends to attend National Jamboree with us!
For more information, please contact Bob Bucklin (Scoutmaster) or Tim Brackett (Assistant Scoutmaster).

Are you interested in helping fellow Scouters by making sure communication flows? Are you interested in helping make sure Scout units are meeting and doing things timely? 2013 Scouting's Journey to Excellence
For 2013 there is a new Quality Unit Program. Please do not get this confused with 2012's forms. The 2012 forms that are due and can be submitted anytime now are for this year and what your unit has achieved this year. The Roundtable staff is currently looking at their schedule to see when a training on this new program can be done as a breakout.
Roundtable
Roundtable has found a new home! We moved to Bethany Lutheran Church, at 4500 E. Hampden. The more central location is easily accessible from everywhere.
The move gives us plenty of room to spread out activities and plenty of parking.
The format changes with the move. We'll open with a streamlined, combined Scout and Cub session before splitting into breakouts, where the staff will incorporate much more program information. And, participants can score Scoutbucks at every roundtable to use when bidding on gift certificates and other cool prizes at the June session. The more Scouters from your unit that attend and the more roundtables you attend, the bigger your unit's bidding power.
For those new to roundtable, the monthly sessions bring program education and practical tips to you. Expert trainers and guest speakers offer "the right stuff" to help you implement your programs, solve problems and network with others for the benefit of all. This is the place to get how-to info and share ideas and any registered adult can attend.
We look forward to seeing you at Bethany Lutheran for Roundtable.
Order of the Arrow - White Buffalo Chapter
Dear Scoutmasters and Troop Committee Chairs:
The Order of the Arrow each year holds unit elections to choose youth to be elected to Scouting's Honor Camper Society. The Order of the Arrow is a youth led organization supported by the adult members.
We in the White Buffalo Chapter (Frontier District) would like the opportunity to conduct an election in your unit.
We recognize that some units contacted with this email are new and might not have candidates that meet the eligibility requirements at this time but we would like the opportunity to speak with your unit and make a presentation on the Order of the Arrow.
If you would like to see how our monthly chapter meeting function feel free to join us.
We meet on the first Thursday of each month at 7:00PM (same as Roundtable) - located at Bethany Lutheran Church, on 4500 E. Hampden. For questions about the White Buffalo Chapter; Learn more about Tahosa Lodge 383.
