Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital Open House - Tuesday, September 15, 2009, 7 pm
In cooperation with the Learning for Life Exploring program, Veterinary Explorer Post 173 and I would like to invite you to join us at Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital on Tuesday September 15, 2009 at 6:30 P.M., for a behind-the- scenes tour of our facility, demonstrations of some of our advanced equipment, and, of course, a chance to visit some of the animals in the hospital.
Following the tour, we will have refreshments and discuss future planned programs for the Post such as observing an actual surgery, using our surgical laser, veterinary speakers, and participating in field trips to various veterinary and animal facilities throughout the state. We also hope to organize a couple of social outings throughout the year.
We meet at 6:30pm every 4th Tuesday during the school year and require an annual participation fee of $30.00. This fee includes liability insurance, expenses for local activities and supplies. If you are interested in joining, we will be collecting this fee at this initial meeting to expedite enrollment and allow you to participate fully in the Explorer’s decisions, including nominating and voting to elect officers of the Post. If you cannot make the Open House, but are considering joining our Explorers Post, our first actual meeting will be Tuesday September 22nd at 6:30 pm.
We encourage you to bring any of your friends who are also interested in Veterinary Medicine. If you would like your parents to join us for this meeting, please invite them. Our program will end at 8:30 P.M.
